| Abstract:
Multiplying shoots have been raised successfully in vitro (with two-fold multiplication in 6 weeks) by culturing from excised bulb tissue on Murashige and Skoog media supplemented with BAP and IBA or NAA. A system for producing rooted shoots in vitro, followed by establishement and bulbing in vivo, is being developed, thus the lengthy in vitro bulbing stage might be avoided. | |
