Abstract:
The incidence of floral malformation was reduced with NAA 100 ppm, IBA 200 ppm, 2,4-D 100 ppm, Ethrel 200 ppm and CCC 3000 ppm treatments applied at flower bud differentiation as compared to control.
The incidence of floral malformation was lowest with NAA 100 ppm treatment.
The percent hermaphrodite flowers in healthy panicles was the highest with Ethrel 300 ppm of all other treatments.
The yield was highest with NAA 100 ppm because of lowest incidence of malformation.
There was direct negative relationship between yield and incidence of malformation.
The yield was least in control.
The fruit weight, pulp weight and stone weight was highest in NAA 200 ppm treatment.
The total soluble solids and total sugars content of the fruit was highest with CCC 2000 ppm whereas TSS/acid ratio was best with Ethrel 100 ppm.
