Abstract:
A system is developed to provide an objective way for testing greenhouse computers and to make it possible to compare the test results.
The system consists of a microcomputer, programmed to simulate the dynamic behaviour of the greenhouse, and an interface for connecting the greenhouse computer with the greenhouse climate simulator.
The present model is a model of a double span greenhouse.
A crop can be present in the model but no thermal screens are involved yet.
As climate factors temperature, humidity and CO2 concentration of the greenhouse air are considered.
As actuators ventilation windows, a heater and a CO2 fertilizer can be used.
The outside conditions are simulated by a weather simulator.
