| Abstract:
Outlines are described on a greenhouse climate control system and a greenhouse management system developed based upon knowledge engineering (a field of applied artificial intelligence) techniques. Advantages and disadvantages of the knowledge engineering approach and the systems engineering approach are discussed. Some ideas of integrating recent rapid technical advances in various fields into a unified greenhouse crop production system are proposed. | |
