NATURAL VENTILATION RATES OF CLOSED GREENHOUSES

Abstract:
The natural ventilation has an influence on the CO₂ - concentration, the humidity and the heat losses of closed greenhouses. Because of energy saving the heat losses due to natural ventilation should be minimized by tightening the leakages of the greenhouse surface area. But there will be the question

of the dimension of the natural ventilation and
of the success to reduce the natural ventilation by tightening.

Aim of this experiment is the direct measurement of natural ventilation of closed greenhouses and its supposed influence variables wind velocity, air temperature difference inside-outside and wind direction. A simple and efficient method for tightening leakages is supposed to be found as well as one of the investigation's results.
