SOME USES OF GROWTH REGULATORS IN CHINESE FLORICULTURE |

| Abstract:
In China the use of growth regulators in plant culture began about in the 40's; and it is still not very common as routine practice. Among the different uses of growth regulators, some results of experiments, achievements and experiences of different research institutes and colleges obtained and accomplished in recent years in Chinese floriculture, especially in the fields of control for blooming period, dwarfing culture, and rooting stimulation of soft-wood cuttings for some difficult trees and shrubs, have been introduced briefly. At the end of the paper, there are some discussions and prospects concerning the work of growth regulators in Chinese floriculture. | |
