Abstract:
In a previous paper (Eynard et al., 1977) the behaviour of twelve U.S.A. and European highbush blueberry cultivars tested at Revello (N-W Piedmont) from 1970 to 1975 were reported.
Since 1976 important growth increases have not been recorded.
The european cultivars, particularly 'Heerma I' and 'Heerma II', continuated to be more vigorous than americans ones.
'Collins' was discontinued for the high mortality percentage.
The earliest flowering cultivars were 'Heerma I', 'Heerma II' and 'Goldtraube 71', followed by 'Bluecrop', 'Darrow' and 'Ivanhoe'.
The most productive cultivars resulted: 'Heerma I' and 'Berkeley', that confirmed the previous behaviour, and 'Bluecrop'. The less productive were 'Heerma II','Ivanhoe' and 'Coville'. 'Darrow', 'Herbert' and 'Bluecrop' produced the largest berries.
