"MASOVIA" - A NEW POLISH SELECTION OF LINGONBERRIES |

| Abstract:
In the autumn 1981 Mr Lech Kawecki - veterinarian, gathering his lingonberries (Vaccinium vitis-idaea L.) in the pine forest "Lasy Bolimowskie", what is about 60 km to the West from Warsaw, had found a single plant, that differed very much from the rest of population. This plant was characterized by strong growth habit, vigorous rhizoms and enormous berry set. Now we have some asexually propagated plants under observation. We are hopefully looking forward to introduce this selection and name "Masovia". Research is in progress. | |
