Authors:   G. Teodorescu, S. Florea, V. Copaescu
Abstract:
In the Northern states of N. America with a large blueberry growing area, diseases caused by fungi like : Monilinia vaccinii-corymbosii /Kiade/ Honey,Micosphaera alni var.vaccinii /DC/ Wint, Phomopsis vaccinii /Shear/ Stevens et Bain are widely spread on plantations causing high economic damage /Varney, E.H. and Stretch, A.W., 1966/. The expenses involved in annual control of these diseases are very high.

In order to extend the blueberry culture in Romania it was necessary to study the behaviour of blueberry cultivars towards main mycoses in field trials.
