Abstract:
The evaluation of 12 cultivars of American highbush blueberry was done in years 1978–1983. The cultivars were divided into 4 groups according to the time of ripening.
The earliest: Weymouth, Earliblue, Collins; the mid-early: Ivanhoe, Concord, Bluecrop ; the mid-late : Herbert, Coville, Jersey, 13–16-A and the late: Darrow and Lateblue.
The cultivars Concord and 13–16-A were characterized by the smaller fruits, Darrow had very big fruits and the other cultivars had the middle size fruits.
Cultivars Lateblue and 13–16-A yielded best; Weymouth, Ivanhoe, Jersey and Herbert yielded fairly and Collins gave the lowest yield.
