ISHS Acta Horticulturae 164: VI International Symposium on Virus Diseases of Ornamental Plants

MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES AND THEIR USE IN THE STUDY OF DIANTHOVIRUSES

Authors:   C. Hiruki, G. Figueiredo
Abstract:
Carnation ringspot virus (CRSV), sweet clover necrotic mosaic virus (SCNMV) and several strains of red clover necrotic mosaic virus (RCNMV) have been differentiated by means of indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using monoclonal antibodies produced against SCNMV. CRSV was positively identified by the monoclonal antibodies from three hybridoma cell lines, whereas similar tests were negative with RCNMV-C (clover primary leaf necrosis strain).
