| Abstract:
In this paper, the method of protecting sweet cherry plantings with polyethylene films is desribed. In Switzerland, early and medium early (during June) varieties are especially compromised to cracking due to rain. By this means a full supply of the market could be reached even in June. This would deliver an additional annual income of Sfrs. 3000.- for about 300 to 400 family farms. | |
