| Abstract:
This paper reports findings from a study of price formation and price forecasting, a relatively new research field for British horticulture. Various time-series analyses and econometric models based on ordinary least-squares regression were tested and their characteristics are compared. Different techniques appear best for forecasting particular crops but none is infallible. | |
