| Abstract:
This paper deals with the subject of the forthcoming enlargement of the European Community to include Spain and Portugal and the effects that this could have on horticulture in Great Britain. The paper expresses the fears of British growers that the entry of Spain into the Community could bring a number of horticultural products into over-supply within the Community. It considers the implications of enlargement for the community budget and stresses the need for improved market management within the enlarged community. | |
