USE OF NEW TYPES OF PLASTIC TUNNELS FOR VEGETABLE PRODUCTION IN MOROCCO |

| Abstract:
Many prototypes of Moroccan made plastic tunnels were compared with several European ones. Experiments were carried out in the two principal "early vegetable" production areas: - the area of Casablanca, using tomato crops, and - the area of Agadir, using pepper crops. Both Moroccan prototypes, "DELTA" and "MASSA", gave excellent results; "FILCLAIR", a French made tunnel was good too. In the Casablanca area, the effect of the properties of the plastic was also investigated. Results indicated that the I.R. polyethylene gave better results than the U.V. polyethylene. | |
