Abstract:
Four different aeration systems were compared on their influence on the temperature distribution.
Temperature distribution was the most homogeneous in the greenhouses where lateral aeration was combined with ridge aeration.
The best results were obtained under the PE greenhouse covered by alternating 6 m large PE sheets with movable 2 m large sheets, especially when the 2 m large sheets were completely moved off.
The use of 2 ventilators results in a very heterogeneous temperature distribution, with accumulation of warmth in the center of the greenhouse.
The situation is slightly ameliorated by use of 4 ventilators, but there is a good amelioration when the 2 ventilators are combinated with an extractor in the ridge which was positioned in the center of the greenhouse.
