Abstract:
Studies were made on 28 woody perennial species belonging to 14 families grown in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Seasonal periodicity of flowering and fruiting of the species were recorded and related to meteorological records.
Both endogenous and exogenous factors affected flowering and fruiting of the different species, either or both being the more important.
