Abstract:
A warm water type solar collector has been used to provide supplementary heating to a double layer polyethylene greenhouse.
The solar greenhouse has been constructed with a floor storage reservoir which also acts as the heat exchanger.
Initial testing has shown that the polyethylene film glazed collector has not achieved expected levels of contribution during autumn months.
Modifications are to be made to increase collector efficiency.
The warm water, 25°C, floor storage system has provided satisfactory greenhouse temperatures.
