Abstract:
The covering and shading materials for greenhouses and the materials used to make thermal screens are invading the market day after day.
The practical results they lead to vary greatly and often differ widely from the promises detailed on their accompanying technical cards.
Among the reasons for the differences observed between "theory" and "practice" we find that the photometric characterization of such materials is more often than not too summary and that the method used to determine the photometric properties are difficult to compare.
In this paper we propose a method to measure and to calculate the radiative properties of greenhouse materials.
The method is based upon our previous research and seem us to be adapted to present needs.
