Authors:   C.M.M. van Winden, J.A.M. van Uffelen, G.W.H. Welles
Abstract:
At the Glasshouse Crops Research and Experiment Station at Naaldwijk and 4 Experimental Horticulture Stations at Venlo, Breda, Vleuten and Sappemeer glasshouses have been built with single and double glass. 9 Crops of tomato and 7 of cucumber have been grown in these glasshouses in order to study the effects of different growing conditions on growth, production and quality.

Data of the yield of tomato and cucumber are presented. In spring and autumn tomato production under double glass was resp. 10 – 15 and 4 – 13% less in comparison with single glass and with cucumber 7 – 12% in spring and 4 – 8% in autumn.
