Abstract:
A knowledge-based and hierarchically distributed online control system for greenhouse climate control and crop management system was designed.
In this system, control strategies of greenhouse climate are expressed in the form of production rules(if-then rules) or a frame network, and are stored in a hostprocessor as a database or a knowledge-base, respectively.
This paper describes an outline of this intelligence system and discusses the potential of systems based on the knowledge engineering method.
