| Abstract:
Reject heat from other industries is available for greenhouse heating in West-Germany. The technical problems of large heaters can be overcome by the carefull design of glasshouse isolation and enlarged heaters. The aim of adapted technology is to find integrated solutions for glasshouse isolation, heating surfaces and working equipment which reduce investment and running costs. Some commercial and pilot nurseries are already running according to this technology. The major problem of the growers is financing of new settlements at the reject heat locations. | |
