Abstract:
French horticulturists use more and more microcomputers.
The programs offered with these computers are only for accounting, stock management or climate control.
Programs which can help the growers to reach a decision in crop management are not yet available.
Space planning is a major care of the growers.
To find a better use of space, we elaborated a microcomputer program which allows to establish crop planning.
This program records the space structure of greenhouses and the crop schedules.
It allows to plan space use and work load.
This planning can be brought up-to-date at any time.
The program is easy to use, gives a good time profit in the elaboration of blueprints and gives the opportunity to test different ways.
In the future it will be used by the growers who want to have a better management of their greenhouses and by extension agents. particularly in case of young growers' setting up.
