Abstract:
Two-years pot experiments under greenhouse conditions were conducted to determine the maximum concentration of various macroelement salt solutions for repeated foliar nutrition of greenhouse tomato cv.
Ostona.
The maximum concentration of salts which did not cause foliage injury were the following: KNO3 - 2.8%, Ca/NO3/2 - 4 H20 - 2.8%, CO/NH2/2 - 0.4%, NaNO3 - 0.3%, NH4NO3 - 0.4%, /NH4/2SO4 - 0.4%, NH4H2PO4 - 0.4%, Ca/H2PO4/2. H20 - 0.8%, K2SO4 - 2.8%, KCl - 1.4%, MgSO4. 7H2O - 11.2%.
Foliar applications of CO/NH2/2, NH4NO3, Ca/NO3/2. 4H2O, NaNO3, /NH4/2SO4 and partly of K2SO4 and MgSO4. 7H2O significantly increased the total, marketable and first number fruit yield.
All tested salts increased nutrient concentration in the index plant part of tomato.
