| Abstract:
Ten lines of Origanum vulgare L from a wild population were divided into three groups, according to their characters. In a previous study, the differences in yield components and essential oil during the spring until early summer were investigated. In this work the fresh weight, essential oil content and main constituents in the three groups were examined during the summer and autumn. The highest fresh yield was reached 70 days after the last harvest; the essential oil content reached its maximum level at different times, and it differs between the three oregano groups. The connection between the data presented and agricultural practice is discussed. | |
