| Abstract:
Although conditions are favourable for the commercial cultivation of a number of essential oil crops in Sudan only a few such crops are currently exploited. These are mainly spice crops locally consumed in Sudan. An evaluation is given here of plants which have the potential for commercial cultivation to satisfy the local demand for perfumery, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industries as well as for export in crude or processed product forms. | |
