Abstract:
A chance seedling immune from leaf curl (Taphrina deformans (Berk.) Tul.) has been found in Latina province, in central Italy.
The full resistance to the disease has been verified for several years under conditions of severe natural infection.
The flower is showy, the leaves have few reniform glands, the fruit has white omozigous flesh, as checked by cross-pollination with yellow-flesh cultivars.
The tree is vigorous, medium productive; the fruits have medium size (120–130 g), round-ovate shape; the skin is pale green with a very light red blush; the flesh is clingstone, of poor firmness and quality.
