| Abstract:
A simple device is demonstrated to determine the weight and the volume of the fruit using its buoyancy when submersed in water. The calculation of the absolute and the relative intercellular space volume (RISV) of fruit is given. Preliminary experiments indicate, that the tolerance to forced CA-conditions is dependent of RISV. | |
