| Abstract:
In a high density orchard (714 trees/ha) with the apple cultivars "Golden Delicious" and "Jonathan" on M 4 the Italian palmette as standard training system was compared with biennial alternated hedge pruning (with and without 2000 ppm Daminozide treatment). The effects of summer pruning were evaluated on 5 sour cherry cvs. (1250 trees/ha) and on 4 sweet cherry cvs. (666 trees/ha); to the latter ones Daminozide treatments were also applied. | |
