Abstract:
The EEC market policy for fruit and vegetables is criticized for its negative effects on the trade with non-member countries especially developing countries.
The enlargement of the EEC by Greece, Spain and Portugal is creating additional concern both inside and outside the EEC.
This paper is a review of
- the development and the major problems of the EEC-market policy for fruit and vegetables
- the development and pattern of the international trade with fruit and vegetables with special reference to the EEC trade
and will discuss
- the problems of evaluating the possible impact of the EEC market policy on the historical and prospective trends of the international with fruit and vegetables with special reference to the prospective impact of the EEC-enlargement.
