CONSUMER ATTITUDES AND MARKET SEGMENTATION - THE CASE OF THE GERMAN APPLE MARKET

Author:   J. Werner
Abstract:
An explanation for the decreasing demand for fresh apples might be that consumer needs are no longer satisfied by the choice of apples offered on the market.

The results of a market segmentation study - based on an analysis of consumer attitudes - indicate that 'Golden Delicious' - opposed to 'Cox's Orange', 'Granny Smith' and 'Boskoop' - cannot quite satisfy consumer needs.
