Abstract:
The Northeast area represents 55 p.100 of total production of apples, pears and peaches in Spain.
The objective of this paper is to show how farmer groups market these products in this specific area of the country.
Therefore a survey was conducted among the farmer groups in the area to obtain reliable information on: marketing functions performed (grading, packaging, advertising, market research, storing and transport); cold storage capacity, market information systems, distribution channels and marketing problems in general.
