Abstract:
With young leaves near the apex, the minimum conditions for the induction of one inflorescence are 30 cm2 of leaf area/3 SD. Old leaves, about 7 to 8 cm in distance from the apex, are half as effective as young ones: nearly 60 cm2 leaf area and 3 SD are necessary.
Leaves under LD between SD leaves and apex inhibit flower formation.
