Abstract:
Azalea plants were grown under greenhouse conditions in pots containing peat-vermiculite substrate treated with slow-release fertilizers.
Osmocote, Agriform, MagAmp, Eeesy Grow, Nitro-form, Sulfur Coated Urea (SCU), and Iso-Butylidene Diurea (IBDU) were applied at three rates using 1:2:3 ratios.
To determine their efficiency in supplying nutrients, the recovery of N, P, and K applied was studied through changes in plant uptake and in the substrates' nutrient status brought about by the fertilization.
