Abstract:
The frequency and the seriousness of the symptoms caused by ACLR on different Prunus species appear very variable : very rare to rare on myrobalan, greengage, P. insititia L., peach, Agen plum.
More frequent on P. salicina Lindl., P. Mariana, apricot.
The species P. cerasifera Ehrh. and P. domestica L. are semi resistant to tolerant, P. salicina Lindl. and P. Mariana are sensitive, apricot and peach very sensitive.
The detection of this disease caused by mycoplasmalike organism is still hazardous.
It is done either by indexing in nursery on apricot or peach, or by notation of the early bud burst in winter.
Attempts of indexing in greenhouse on peach or apricot seedlings have not given convincing results.
Attempt of quick eradication of the diseased plants carried out during 6 consecutive years in P. Mariana orchard, 4 % infected, did not allow to suppress the epidemic.
