Abstract:
Fruit tree viruses graft transmit at three, distinct, described rates.
Frequently, correlations of specific properties appear to exist among viruses that transmit within a specific graft-rate group, but a lack of correlation of properties appears to exist among viruses of different graft-rate groups.
Some of the properties cited are particle morphology and location, thermotherapy susceptibility, fruit deformities, and transmission by seed, pollen, and vectors.
