ISHS Acta Horticulturae 121: VII Symposium on Apricot Culture and Decline

CHARACTERISTICS OF SEVERAL ISOLATES OF PSEUDOMONAS SYRINGAE PV. SYRINGAE FROM APRICOT TREES WITH REGARD TO SOME BIOLOGICAL FEATURES

Authors:   V. SEVERIN, C. STÀNCESCU
Abstract:
The apricot trees grown in Romania are frequently affected by decline with its typical symptoms. The studies conducted for several years showed that Ps bacteria, together with other biotic and abiotic factors, are to some extent the etiological cause of the disease. The present report deals with two features of the Ps bacteria which could, presumably, be the pathogenicity factors of the bacterial decline of apricot : INA and SPA.
