ECOPHYSIOLOGICAL BASIS OF APRICOT REST PERIOD AND DORMANCY

Authors:   D. STANKOVIC, M. DANILOVICH-BULATOVIC, S. BULATOVIC
Abstract:
The highest concentration of apricot is in the region of Subotica amounting up to 36.83 percent of all fruit trees in Voyvodina and 10.06 per cent in Yugoslavia. Therefore the objective of our investigation was to explain this fact in the harmony of physiological properties of apricot tree, investigated by Breviglieri (1), Bulatovic (2), S. Bulatovic and M. Bulatovic (3), Dimitrovski (4), Gavrilovic (5), Gueriero - Xiloyannis (6), Molcanov (7), Sergeev (8—9) and others.

However, our results in this respect are different, showing high dependance of apricot vegetation and yielding upon the temperature during its dormancy.
