Abstract:
The apricot is an important fruit species due to high quality fruits, earliness and high yields. However, fruit yielding is quite irregular as the flowers are often affected by low temperatures in winter and early in spring.

The Romanian Plain comprises many favorable zones for apricot production among which the zone of Bucharest City with continental temperate climate of c.f.b.x. type (Köpen).
