PHYSIOLOGICAL FEATURES OF NILE WATER QUALITY - A PARAMETRIC CHARACTERIZATION OF TEMPORAL AND SPATIAL ENVIRONMENTS

Abstract:
Relative rates of change in successive temporal intervals along the year were followed in five localities across Cairo segment. Nile water was analysed to identify the physiological features. Among these features are included the total algae count (Org./ml), gross photosynthesis (%), phosphate as well as nitrate (mg/l) and Chlorophyll a (%). The relative rates of change were followed according to the formula:

The concept suggested herein to identify the quality of water going through Helwan industrial zone is designated on basis of having a parallel directional pattern of changes in the cyclic environment at all five positions. Hard deviations mainly in sign (+vs.-) and on significantly in magnitude from one locality to another would refer to pollution with industrial residues. In this view, among partially regulated matrices blocks of directional homologes, accidental values are noticed for different algae features. The comparisons of different features for a given partial deviation showed apparent lack of conformity. This parameter presents a possible means for evaluating quality bioessay under stress of simultaneous industrial pollution and lack of advanced techniques.
