Abstract:
In 1979, there was a feeling among scientists, working on greenhouse cucumber, that international coordination in cucumber research was necessary to avoid duplication and to speed up research.
Workers in the field of efficient use of energy were assembled in the Netherlands for a 4 day working party.
The papers led to an open and interesting discussion, in which many preliminary results were presented.
The members went home with a joint feeling of better tackling their problems of greenhouse cucumber growing.
Regrettably Mr.
Dennis and Skierkowsky could not be present, their prepared papers are published.
The Glasshouse Crops Research and Experiment Station at Naaldwijk supplied the facilities for this working party.
