Abstract:
Several phase change materials (PCMs) have been tested in order to evaluate their possibilities as the storage materials in greenhouse heating.
Although PCMs have both advantages and disadvantages compared with the conventional types of storage materials and so far no material has both been verified in its stability and been justified from the economic point of view, polyethylene glycol (PEG) and calcium chloride hexahydrate have been used in three types of model solar greenhouses.
A microcomputer control system has been developed in order to establish more accurate and more sophisticated control for solar greenhouse systems.
