RED RASPBERRY BREEDING IN YUGOSLAVIA UP TO 1979

Author:   P.D. Misic
Abstract:
Red raspberry breeding began in Yugoslavia in 1959. The most satisfactory parents have been Malling Exploit, Willamette, Hilton, Rote Wadenswiler and Gradina. Two cultivars, Krupna Dvoroda and Gradina, have been released. Yugoslavia has a vast reservoir of indigenious Rubus idaeus L. which has value for breeding programs.
