Abstract:
Tomato aspermy virus (TomAV) was isolated from naturally diseased garden nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus) plants in Hungary.
The virus was identified on basis of the results approached from host range studies, aphid transmissibility, particle morphology and physical properties.
According to the above-mentioned results it was concluded that the virus under consideration is identical with the type strain of TomAV and hence designated by TomAV-T/Tm12. This is apparently the first report about the natural occurrence of TomAV on garden nasturtium.
