Abstract:
We are interested in wild apricots for different motives.
As far as we can judge certain wild forms are particularly resistant against dryness, cold precipitation or pests.
Therefore they come into question for hybridisations, if one has the aim to breed resistant varieties.
Some of them seem to bear quite acceptable fruits, therefore they could perhaps be planted also for harvesting fruits in situations of little value.
At last the different wild forms merit to be tested as rootstocks.
