Abstract:
Among the diseases of bulb crops the following are new or uncommon in Italy: bulb rot of tulip caused by Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc.; rhizome rot and leaf curl of anemones due respectively to Phytophthora cactorum (Leb. et Cohn.) Schroet and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penzig; cyclamen wilt by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cyclaminis (Gerlach) Snyd. et Hans.; wilt and petiole rot of ranunculus caused respectively by Fusarium oxysporum Schelech. and Fusarium tabacinum (Beyma) N. Gams.
Symptoms and some epidemiological aspetcs of these diseases are briefly described.
