| Abstract:
The programme of research on monitoring and controlling greenhouse environment is described and the earlier development of a microprocessor monitoring and control system is reported. Reasons are given for the termination of this development in favour of the purchase of a minicomputer, programmable in a high level language. The logging and controlling requirements are described and an outline specification given for the computer and its peripherals. Reasons are given for the choice of a high level language in preference to assembly or machine codes. | |
