Abstract:
In a very few years the use of computers in research and for climat control in glasshouses have take great proportions.
The research institutes are confronted now with investments and maintenance costs of computer systems which are covering a not neglectable part of their research budgets.
The research workers are confronted with the need of extra time for developing software programs.
No figures are available about an extra profit of a greenhouse production caused by a computer driven climat control.
A more intensive use of existing computers and exchange of software programs should meet the needs in research.
A further study of the greenhouse computer in fields of automatisation should bring more profit.
