Abstract:
The Korean peninsula lies between 35°N to 43°N latitude and 124°E to 132°E longitude.
Climatic conditions of the country are under the influence of the continental climate.
Typical characters of the weather in the city of Seoul are as follows:
- Spring is relatively short and dry especially in April and May, during which period drought may cause damage to crops.
- The comparatively long and hot summer has about two thirds of the 1 200 to 1 300 mm of annual precipitation.
- Fall is relatively short but has generally fine weather conitions except for slightly dry conditions.
- Comparatively long and severely cold weather is experienced during the months of December, January, February and March when snow falls several times.
